OUR FOUNDERS

1966

In 1966, two women, Mrs. Jackie Bowles and Mrs. Phyllis Hicks, were challenged with putting together a performance by founding Pastor Rev. J.C. Wade Sr. Founders Jackie and Phyllis decided to get some dancers and drummers together for a one time performance for their church Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, NE. The one time performance turned into over 50 years of performances, parades, competitions, and other events. Salem "Stepping Saints" Drill Team became a Omaha household name. Our founders established a foundation built on the word of God and today still operates as an outreach ministry for Salem Baptist Church.
