Keeping God First

The Salem Stepping Saints Drill Team began in 1966 with a small group of 10 - 15 youth, now numbers are between 30 - 40 youth between the ages of 12 - 20.

The group was formed as an outreach of the Salem Baptist Church.  Since inception in 1966 over 2,000 young people have been members of the Drill Team.

Currently under Pastor Dr. Selwyn Q. Bachus, the drill team is providing a common bond that unites young people of various ages, religious beliefs, and racial backgrounds thereby serving the purpose of achieving a sense of togetherness and belonging in the community.
